Deux Sortes today announces the release of version 3.0 of CryptoTools, a multilanguage suite of encryption components and libraries. CryptoTools enables developers to add security to their programs and web applications through encryption. The best thing about it is that it supports almost all currently popular programming languages and major OS, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and UNIX. Components, files and sample programs for all languages are distributed in one single package. This means you will have to learn only one API and buy only one package, saving time and development efforts.
CryptoTools can encrypt binary data, text and files, using industry-standard encryption algorithms, such as DES and TripleDES (3 DES), as well as Base64 encoding and MD5 hashing. Similarly, CryptoTools can encrypt all kinds of files, using any of the four algorithms. The components can be incorporated into a program written in C (win32), C++, ActiveX/COM, C#, Visual Basic.Net, Delphi, and Java (multi-platform), and many other popular languages. Unique to CryptoTools is that all libraries and languages are completely compatible with one another. This means you can encrypt in Java on Linux on one side and decrypt on the other side using Visual Basic.Net on Windows. The suite is compatible with third party encryption tools.
