Versant Corporation, an industry leader in specialized data management and data persistence software, today announced the availability of a preview of Versant Open Access for the Microsoft .NET Framework at TechEd Europe.
Versant will be demonstrating the first beta integration of Versant Open Access .NET with Visual Studio 2005 at Microsoft's Visual Studio Industry Partner Zone. Versant Open Access delivers high-performance data persistence and object-relational mapping. Designed for seamless integration with Microsoft® Visual Studio®, and SQL Server, Versant Open Access enables developers to build applications more rapidly and focus on solving their enterprise's core business needs, not on adapting the DataSet functionality supplied with the .NET framework. Microsoft TechEd Europe is Microsoft's flagship European technical education conference for developers and IT Professionals, running July 4 through July 8, 2005 in Amsterdam.
Versant Open Access offers advanced technical features like attach/detach capability, and projections and aggregates in queries. It delivers high-performance object persistence and enables application architectures that provide rapid time-to-market and flexibility to meet evolving business needs.
Product Features:
Versant Open Access is a sophisticated combination of design-time tools and run-time support. Highlights include:
-- Multi-level caching and configurable pre-fetch systems that
dramatically speed up data access.

all other MSIL compatible languages.
-- A unique mixture of object lifecycle control, transparent persistence,
and flexible mapping. This mixture of capabilities is unique in the
Microsoft .NET development community.

supporting the complete Microsoft .NET architecture.
