Can't find the solution for this. In a web project a build/run is
throwing errors on aspx files open in the editor but not part of the
project. I have files open for reference, how to shut this off?

I am using VS.Net 2005 sp1. While editing code(vb), my editor constantly
locks up for minutes at a time. My cpu usage jumps to about 50%(could be
100% as I am using a google widget to monitor while I am recreating these
issues).The crazy thing is my network connection goes crazy ...

I have VS2005 version 8.0.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600)
Something has failed in the IDE such that I can no longer use the 'Go
to Definition' and related functions.
When I try the 'Go to Definition', I always get a "the symbol

I installed VS 2003 first then I installed VS 2005.
I was hoping to use the latest MSDN Library for the help systems, so I did
not install help initially on either.  Later because I needed to do some
work, I installed help for 2005.

The Concierge service wasn't much help. She said to post question here.
On VS2005 IDE's Main Menu select Tools + Options + Text Editor + File
Extension & the Editor dropdown box. There are about 20+ different "Editor"
settings to choose from, such as "User Control Editor", "Web ...

I am successful at debugging JS when i run the app (F5), but if i try to
attach to process, no documents are in Script Explorer and hence i can't
debug JS. what can I do to do this?

Is there a way to use alternative compilers/linkers in .net (2005)?
Presently, I use Keils uVision, Metrowerks Codewarrior, MS Embedded
Visual C 4.0, and the .Net IDE to maintain very similar projects

I downloaded these samples (subject line) and when I double-click (or
right-click & choose "open with") on the .sln file, VS2005 won't launch.  
When I hover the mouse over the .sln file in IE, the pop-up window indicates
"unrecognized version".

I have Developer Team Edition (SP1) installed on my computer and want to
uograde to Team Suite. Do I need to uninstall the Team Edition first and
install Team Suite or just run the Team Suite installation over for it to
upgrade automatically?

It is working and creating all the projects I've added, but when it creates
the solution first it creates the main folder solution, adds the .sln file

Some times my Visual Studio 2005 doesn't show me the migration wizard when I

I've just installed VS2005 on my new machine. My Standard Toolbar has the
"Find in Files" combo box missing. I've tried resetting the toolbar,
resinstalling VS2005 but it just won't appear.

In Internet Explorer (6.0), you can right-click on the toolbar, and one
option is to 'Lock the Toolbars'.  Is there any way to do this in Visual
