I have years of source code in a VSS6 database.
I upgraded my VSS client to 2005.
I upgraded my IDE to VS2008.
I check out solutions/projects and open them in VS2008.

I have a weird problem in my VSS setup.
The VSS server and my project VSS database was installed on a desktop
under a specific user. Someone deleted that user. As a result, I am
not able to locate the VSS server and do not have access to the admin

I have a number of existing similar projects that I would like to bring into
VSS and maintain as a number of branched sub-projects. Many of the files in
these projects are the same, while others have either minor or major
modifications.
File, Open Project, SoureSafe (LAN) option missing in VS 2005?     Options01 Jul 2008 21:27 GMT1
I have Visual Studio 2005 and then installed Visual SourceSafe 2005, I
can click File, Open Project, and see the following options on the
left:
Desktop
