VSS2005 LAN booster17 Mar 2006 06:48 GMT1
I'm not clear what's going on with the plug-ins in VS2005. I've enabled the
LAN Booster service on the server. In plug-in selection in VS2005 on the
client, I've got "Microsoft Visual SourceSafe" and "Microsoft Visual
SourceSafe (Internet)". Is the first one the one that works ...

whats wrong with adding solutions and projects as siblings?16 Mar 2006 02:32 GMT1
Using the parlance from the guidance document, "Team Development with Visual
Studio.NET and Visual SourceSafe", I will refer to a collection of solutions
and projects as a system.  I will refer to the folder in VSS that holds this
collections as the system folder.
Disappearing code14 Mar 2006 22:32 GMT2
I think I'm being driven crazy.  The last couple of nights I brought my
project home with me, only to find out that it was the same version I had on
my home computer, after I had worked all day long on it at work!
At first I thought I was doing something wrong.  Now, I'm beginning ...

We have multitier ASP.NET Solution (DAL, Business Logic, and Web front-end)
in VS 2005 and it is under source control (VSS 8). The problem is that VS
2005 constantly adds dll outputs and pdb files into VSS (in /bin
directories). I've found note from MSFT that this in known bug and ...
VSS 2005 - I'm confused13 Mar 2006 14:01 GMT2
We're using VS 2005.
I hear that VSS 2005 is compatible with VSS 6.  That would imply
a file sharing approach.  Then I hear that it uses an SQL Server
backend.  Which is it?  Is the latter only for Team Editions?

I have been asked to evaluate various Source controls.
I downloaded CVS and SVN.
But I don't seem to be able to find the latest version of source safe.
I have the VC++ express edition, but it does not have source safe in it.

If programmer A adds a file through the VS2005 IDE, it shows ok in VSS, but
when programmer B, does a get Latest (recursive) , he will not see the file
VS.NET Hard Error when Accessing Source Control08 Mar 2006 13:19 GMT8
I have a very straight forward solution, three projects, two which are
VB.NET and the third is an installshield project.
When attempting to "change source control" via the menu, I get the following
error:

I have to process the following scenario: find all files (recursive) changed
from the selected label and get their latest versions - how to do it
(especially if some files have been changed a lot of times)?
