Is there any function for making a file compare between a version in SourceSafe and a local copy in the SourceSafe COM or Interop interface?. I have not been able to find any. Or is there any other way to achieve this? TIA

Before , when using Visual InterDev + VSS 6.0 to develop ASP web project, in VI, click refresh will refresh the project folder structure without download any physical file to local, click "Get latest version" will get the file.

I set VSS 2005 to check out automatically when editing which works in 80% of all cases. In the other 20% I can change the file, but VSS doesn't check the file out. If I check it out manually later, then Diff and CheckIn works fine. If I don't check it out, then VSS doesn't know ...

I am connecting to a source safe internet database via Visual Studio 2005. I can do all of the normal functions (get, checkout, checkin, etc.), but "view history" is grayed out. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing for this? I have read/write permissions in source

We have had some troubles with our database after a remote user experieinced a timeout error over the network. While we have been able to figure out how to prevent future errors of this type from the network, we are still working on fixing the database.
