We are running Visual Source Safe 6.0c.  on a WwK server.  Is there a way to
schedule archiving?
I can see that you can open a database and then archive it from the Archive

I have a VB6 project stored in Visual Source Safe 6.0.  As of
yesterday, something strange started happening:
For one particular user control: I check it out of VSS via the builtin
VB6 interface, which really causes both the *.CTL and the *.CTX files

I create a Website project in VS2005 Beta2, and add it into VSS. I added
some references, and there is a folder named BIN, and VSS automatically
added it, but I don't want to add it in VSS.
please help me to exclude BIN folder from VSS.

We are using VSS and NAnt to do automated builds. I was trying to find a way
to get the comments of a checked in file in order to build an automated
"Changed description" document for our QA department.. Does anyone know how
get the comments for a file that is checked into source ...

I just installed the Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite Beta 2. I have a solution
that I right click and select 'Add Solution to Source Control'. I'm then
prompted to connect to a Team Foundation Server. Is there no way to use the
new VSS and VS I just installed without installing the ...

is there a way i can delete a label after i have assigned it to a project?

We are currently using Sourcesafe for our source control. But is it
possible to either use this with or replace it with Envedor (Mainframe
version control)?

Any pointer to the procedure to do that. I don't see where to change this in
the UI. If I edit the sln file, the VSS binding is lost...

We've been looking at removing any potential corruption from our VSS
repositories recently.
We've been doing this by running a combination of the Analyze, Datawizard
and FixRefs tools.

Is it difficult/possible to switch from one SC provider to Visual SourceSafe?
Currently using StarTeam and it is cumbersome, mainly because nobody here is
very familiar with it.

Is there any article that explains how to move a VSS database from current
network share to a new one? And also how to redirect clients to new
location.

I added my VS 2003 C++ solution to VSS 6.0.d by dropping the directory tree
on a new project using VSS Explorer.  I captured all the project pieces this
way and have managed the solution via VSS Explorer.  
I now want to explore the tighter integration of using VSS from within VS
