I have installed Visual SourceSafe Standalone version on my W2K and want to reinstall or change installation to Shared Database Server version. Is there an easy way or must I remove old installation an make a new installation with Shared Database Server version?

We have upgraded our VSS to version 6.0d obtained from MSDN Subscription site, and we found that when we offer a Get Command from the command line utility, it reports version not found for some destroyed files / projects. I searched the web and someone point me to this article

We've had VSS installed on our network at work for 3 or 4 years now. I need to access the database as an admin, and I know there's a tool for that. Can anyone tell me how to load the VSS admin tools onto my pc from Visual Studio 6 cd's?

I have C++ source files in a project that's under source control with Visual Source Safe. Is there any way to add those files to another project from within the Visual C++ IDE by getting them directly from VSS, or do I have to reference the file from the project directory?
