Hi we are running Visual Sourcesafe 5.0.  We are moving our development from
on server to another and I would like to move source safe off the current
server and install it on the new server.  The KB article I found tells me to
copy the VSS folder from the current production box ...

I have a file in a project named: dbo.some_stored_procedure.sql
When I try to rename the file to dbo.some_stored_procedure.old, I get an
error telling me the file already exists. It doesn't.
Any ideas?

I want to create an application that uses an available .dll such as source

We are getting trained in VSS and PVCS tools.
We were given a task to migrate data from PVCS(Polytron Version Control
System) to VSS(Visual Source Safe).
  We are using VSS version 6.0 and PVCS version 5.3

Is there a way to label all the files at one time via VSS versus
individually labeling the files?

I am running VSS 6.0c.  I am trying to retrieve files from a project using
Labels.  Here is my commmand:
ss Get -I -Y -R -W -O@C:..\SSafeOut_Get.txt -VLv1.0.0.1 $/Project/Web

Is there any way to point a project in VSS 6.0 to multiple folders on
different servers?  We have a 'Forms' project with the forms shadowed on our
local server.  We need to also shadow those forms on a server in a differenct
location.

Does anyone know if they Whidbey version of VSS and Visual Studio 2003
integrate?

I am using visual studio-6 (pro) and I am working with the source safe
(vss), but after a problem with my window xp I reinstall it and the visual
studio-6 with vss env, but now I cant work with vss integrated with visual
studio, Why?

I'm looking at using SourceSafe and I'm a litte suprised I don't have a copy
lying around the office.  Didn't it used to be included in Professional
Versions of Visual Studio?  I don't like the idea of blowing several hundred
dollars for a stand alone version.
