What is better to have a sigle database in VSS for each new project or group
multiple projects in a single database.
What are the Pros and Cons of each standard?

Does anyone know where I can find some info on using VSS with Access 2003?
Everything I can find describes previous versions of Access.

I have a Visual Studio.NET solution with a couple of projects under it. One

Check in all files for a project that are checked out
Get the latest version of all files in a project

I would like to Diff all the files that have been changes between any two
consecutive versions, say 4.5.98 and 4.5.99
Am not just looking for the files that have been changes, but the actual
differences between those files?

I have couple of doubts.Please clarify..
1. When does Pinning of File really useful.i know after pinning we cannot do modifications to that file.Well,If the other user has Add access right to that folder he can very well Unpin the file which i pinned and start working on that ...

My compary want to use the software about version contol. I want to compare

one of my friends told me that using multiple checkout may cause you some
problems with sourcesafe, but i see it is very important feature to apply!

I've got a file stored in VSS named ".project".  When I pull up its
history in the VSS Explorer, the details of the most recent item
shows:
Version: 101

We lost network connectivity while adding new files to a project, this has
caused us to receive the following error when accessing the project:
File "g:\projects\vss cs dev\data\b\brlaaaaa.a" not found
We also get this when running the Analyze application with -f to try and fix

How do others overcome latency working with develpoment teams around the
world?  Has anyone tried replicating databases to local sites?  Is there a
better way?

I have a user trying to move a project from the database in SA to the one in
Bristol, it did not preserve the history or retain all the datestamps, etc...
Please advise.

I am installing a new server for sourcesafe.
I wanted to install the software on the new server, and then just copy the
excisting
database (folder and subfolder) to the new server.

anybody konw if is possible to open two database of Visual SourceSafe at the
same time?
