I am facing a unique problem. I have a VSS server which we use to maintain the source for many projects. However one of the projects is using linux. How can they access VSS. I am aware of one tool called sourcegear which provides linux client.

Every time I try to check out a file, SourceSafe says "does not support checking out files while disconnected from the network" (this isn't an exact quote, but close). I have no problem going anywhere on the network and no problem opening the whole project from sourcesafe off ...

When i create a new VSS db and try to access it from any other machine, i get an error message saying Access to file "rights.dat" denied. Does anybody have any idea why is it happening? I am using Windows XP os.
