I am running Visual Studio 2003 connected to a Visual
SourceSafe database (6.0d).  Visual Studio says that I
have a file checked out that is not checked out in
SourceSafe. In Studio, I have the options to check it out
transfer project from one machine to another05 Dec 2003 20:27 GMT5
I would like to tranfer a visual studio solution from one
machine to another, WITHOUT checking in checked-out files.
Anybody ever done this before, or know how to do it?

I have a new server that has Windows 2003 server
installed. Will VSS 6.0C work with it?

After using VSS here for several years, I have suddenly found that I
cannot open multiple documents.  The first document opens correctly,
but when I try to open another document, I get the message, "The
document name or path is not valid.  Try these suggestions:  Check the

I am attempting to share and pin a version of a
SourceSafe project to another project.  Following the
instructions, I locate the desired labeled version in the
project history, clcik share and set up the target folder.

I have a simple requirement. For a VSS Project folder, I
need to generate the Version No. for each file in a VSS
repository.
Right now, I am able to generate History for a single

Restoring archived files generates an error message "Too
many file handles open". The files are not restored.
This error should be fixed in Service Pack 4 for Microsoft
Visual SourceSafe.
