I am setting up SourceSafe for a web-based 3-tier
project. I have setup IIS 5.1 on Windows XP Professional
and installed Visual Sourcesafe as part of Visual Studio
6.0 installation.

yesterday we moved and splitted our sourcesafe database (located in the
default folder so far) to new locations.
We had no problems except that our one webproject is not accessible any

we have following problem: one development team is working
on a .net project bound to source safe database A (located
in a different country). The source safe database is
automatically transferred to another source safe database

I want to simply move the ssafe database from one drive to another on the
same machine. I tried doing it and haven't found a way to point a visual
Interdev project to that new database. It insistes on the old one and there
seems to be no interface to choose database locations.

 Hmm, I wasnt able to select any drive except C:\ (and just add network
mounts) but I have like 4 other drives local but theyre not listed.
 Workaround. I have to enter the path manually to create the Database.
Stupid bug.

comprised of WORD, EXCEL and PDF files.  Right now, there are 2+ gigs
of files.

I am using VS.net 2003, and would like to also use Visual SourceSafe.
I red almost all help topics on VSS but I could not find answers to
questions such as:
-is VSS part of VS.net Professional delivery?
