What's the proper procedure for adding C# Web Application projects to Visual
SourceSafe (6.0d)?
All files of a web project are stored on http:\\server\projectname. Adding
the solution to VSS disables frontpage edition (which is no problem for me)

Is there a way to preview the "get latest" command. I'd
like to preview what is going to take place before the
files are committed to my folder(s).

my problem with vss 6c is that i made a backup from all
projects using the admin tool. I restored them on an
other machine. This worked perfect. But now each vss
project file (.scc) contains the path to the old

We installed soure safe 6.0d on win 2003. Now checking in
files causes the server to reboot from a bug check ...
anyone know why?

I have a SS DB storing mostly binary data that has now 1.5GB.
When I run analyze -f on it I get one message saying "record has been
truncated" and at the end "serious inconsisteniec have been found" ..

Are there any tools that could assist in generating emails
to a defined set of SMTP addresses when files are checked
into specific projects?
I wish to use this to keep developers abreast of changes

When I go to history and select share for a Label it takes
2 days for the new project and it's files to be created.
Why does it take soooo long? What am I doing wrong? Please

The folder cannot be used for the solution or project you are trying to open because it is already in use to store part of another solution or project
...anyone know what this means?

Why is it when I do a get latest vss asks me if I want to merge in the
following cases:
1) I have made changes to the file but there are no one else has made

I have 12 users who use Visual Studio .NET with Visual
