If I share a folder recursively and then add a file to the
parent folder why don't I see that file in the shared
folder?

Is there a way to execute an external program when an
action is performed in VSS.  I.e. execute a program after
a check in or a label is applied to a file or folder?

Another question about CMS. I do not understand how I have to use word
connector. After reading doc : I understand : create a word doc, and send to
cms. But how link the word doc to a template ? And the content of the doc to

Ive managed to get my stored procs under source safe,
however it wont let me add functions under version control
Also how can I add labels to the code under source safe
Do i have to use the VSS front end. if i do it sounds like

included in the scheme.  There is no reference to the
tables in sourcesafe, but within Access there is a lock
placed on the table name and it must be checked out and

My group is using VSS 6.0c on a project.  We have shared
and pinned two new VSS projects from labeled versions of
our base code (Parent, Child-A, Child-B).  When we need to
make changes to any files, we unpin and branch the file.

I put a bunch of .doc and .rtf files into VSS and when I try to view them
using MS Word, I
get just a blank Word window (no file). However if I review it from the Show
History command,

Due to the Source Safe crashed, I have to install Source
Safe again and recreate the project in Source Safe. But I
can not relink my solution completely to the Source Safe.

am thinking of changing our source control system over to
SourceGears's Vault but I do not want to do this if a new
version of SS is going to be coming out any time soon.
