I added my current project into SourceSafe, but I am
unhappy where the database is located.
What I would like to do is create a new database (on a
network server) and add my current project to it.

Hi, we are planning to procure a number of VS.NET

Code compilation and automated update of SourceSafe01 Oct 2003 15:34 GMT5
Rather than relying on Developers following best practices of checking their
code into SourceSafe and labelling it, I'd like to implement some sort of
automated procedure that wasn't prone to human forgetfulness.
Ideally, when a Developer (in VB6) clicks on the "Make x" to compile, ...

VSS and ASP.net01 Oct 2003 06:27 GMT1
We work on a lot of ASP.Net projects and use VSS. However they are

Branch without creating a new project?01 Oct 2003 06:05 GMT2
I would like to be able to branch a project without creating a new project
for the branch. In other words, I would like branching to be more flexible,
more automatic, and be contained in one project. I believe this is how some
other source control systems work.
vss cluster?01 Oct 2003 05:09 GMT2
we are working on setting up a single source control system which will be
used by offices in several different states.  For this reason, I'm looking
to see if I can setup vss in some sort of server cluster arrangement, with
all servers writing to a raid drive.  Can this be done with ...

Management has set up a meeting for later this week to
discuss rather we should standardize on VSS or PVCS (we
