I have created an application with about 20 assemblies (C#/.NET 3.5).  I have
just added a windows installer/setup deployment project to my solution and I
found it reports "1 failed" without any error message when I build it:

I have VS2005 Pro installed on my work machine.

correctly in "advertise" mode (e.g. msiexec /jm <msi file>).   It looks like
the ProgID registry key in settings /Software/Microsoft/Office/Excel/Addins
is not being handled correctly by the VS Setup and ...

Is there any way of getting .NET to show up in Visual Studio .NET 2005 in
Windows XP?
I have installed .NET Framework 3.0 redistributable,  so when I load up

I was trying to use some asp.net features that seemed to really, really
want SQL Server Express to be installed... So, since I had not installed it
originally, I ran the Visual Studio 2005 change/remove from Add or Remove
programs... And selected the SQL Server 2005 checkbox and ...

There are no clear error messages.

I am new to VB and want to learn it.  Any suggestions what version I should
learn?
I do know from reading other sites that I do not want VB6 so that leaves
2005 or 2008.

I just purchased Office Home and Student 2007.  When I tried to enter the
product key, my keyboard does not work properly.  I tried it in wordpad and
all the keys work fine there.  Any suggestions?

How do i change to target .net framework 1.1 for a new project in Visual
Studio 2005. (Default framework for project is 2.0).  In visual studio 2008
there is option under project properties -> Complier - > Advanced settings.
But I do not see it under Visual Studio 2005.

I recently had to reinstall VS2005 Professional because .Net had become
corrupted during an install of .Net 3.5 (I had only .Net 2.0 at the time).  
Any ways I've reinstalled VS2005 but now under <New><Project> - C# I no
longer have Web Applications as an option, and I don't see ...
