Do we have anyone here working for AMD?
We are STUMPED, we have tried 3 - fresh Win XP Pro installs, 3 different VS
2005 Pro ENU CDs (+ 1 Academic + 1 MSDN) and 2 different hard drives (one
new).

When I try to register COM server in debug mode I get the following error.
"This application has failed to start because COREDLL.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
"The ordinal 1346 could not be located in the dynamic link library

I have a number of questions regardingVisual Studio and  SQL Server. I'm
running Vista Ultimate SP1 and have Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate installed.
I also already have all versions of .Net Framework from 1.0 thru 3.5
installed.

I need to have VS 2003, 2005 and 2008 installed on the same PC.
I don't want to install 3 different copies of MSDN if possible but I
do want integrated context-oriented help in all versions.
Can anyone clarify if this can be done? I know VS 2003 for instance

Installing VS 2008 R1.  Installed .NET 3.5 with no problems.
Then begins the install of Web Authoring Component, shows that as complete,
but when it starts the install of VS 2008, Setup Failed.
Never had a Beta Version running.  I do have VS 2003 and 2005 both installed

I tried several time to download the 4GB file from the MSDN subscribers site
and it always gets suspended after 99% download.
The file is

Trying to install VS 2008 as downloaded from MSDN. Machine is Win 2003 R2 +
SP2. Office 2007 Ent. ed is also installed, but otherwise the machine is
clean; i.e. there is no previous installation of Visual Studio on it.
It goes past the .Net Framework 3.5, Document explorer and Web ...

Where is a list of all the parameters available in a setup.  For example,
[TARGETDIR] is one of them.

I have downloaded the VS2008 DVD .iso image twice now, and burned a total of
4 seperate DVDs.
VS2008 installed fine.
MSDN Library has failed to install across all .iso images and burned DVDs.

In VS2008, whenever I try to save app.config, it closes itself. It's very
annoying.
If I rename it to app1.config, it works fine.
If I open that app.config alone without opening the whole solution, it works

Just installed VS Studio 2008 and during the install my screen would go
black for a few seconds and then flash back on.  I notice this also happens
when using Visual Studio Help or MSDN within Help, when I first go into it.
More just an annoyance.  I don't see this behavior at ...

I have just installed VS 2008. Where is csc.exe? I performed a full install.

I am trying to deploy a simple crystal reports application (VS.Net 2005.)  It
runs fine on the developer machines, however when I try to install it on the
server it gives me a nasty error stating that 'An error occurred during the
installation of assembly

I've been digging around on the Microsoft websites for hours (over the
course of a couple days), and I can't figure out how to convert my Visual
Studio 2008 trial version to a properly registered version.  I tried
"registration", and got a nice thank you email for registering, ...

I reciently had to uninstall Vstudio 2005, and re-install it. Not all of the
stuff uninstalled, and now I get this error when I try to reinstall. MSXML
6.0 Parser x64: ***ERRORLOG EVENT*** : Error code 1603 for this component
means "Fatal error during installation.
