Can not install Vista and VS200806 Dec 2007 05:20 GMT1
I tried to install VS2008 on VISTA. Everytime there are errors
and the Installlation process breaks.
There were no Betas or something else before, all new.
Please help.

Hi, i tried to install the RTM version of VisualStudio on my up-to-date
Win2003 R2 machine
(en_visual_studio_team_system_2008_development_x86_x64wow_dvd_X14-26382).
.NET 3.5 and Document Explorer 2008 is installed.

I'm installing a .NET class library using a Visual Studio Setup Project
template.
The class library is installed to program files\myclass\myclass.dll.
In order to add myclass.dll to the GAC and to register it for COM Interop,

I have a COM application that calls a dotNet dll (w/COM Interop enabled) to
kick off a process.  I want to then terminate the originating process and
have the dotNet dll continue to execute.
Is there a way to call the dll and have the parent process terminate, then

I posted this to another VS forum but no replies, so I am posting here as
well:
I have VS Express 2005 w/latest updates installed on my PC which has, among
other things:  Win XP Pro SP2, MS O2K, VB6, VC+ 6, FP 2K.  I now want to
VS6 SP6 Setup Error01 Dec 2007 12:55 GMT1
I am using XP SP2. I did manage to install VS6 using the .REG workaround.
Now, I have an error when applying SP6: after agreement, I have an error
message stating that it cannot complete.
Can you help?
