So far we've had VS 2003 installed on workstations and using the 1.1
Framework for development.
It is my understanding that I can install different versions of the
Framework and they can coexist (although there are some notes about the later

I have a VS2005 setup project for installing a VS2005 application of mine
(.NET C#).
After the install is done successfully, I start the installed application,
but the application does not start immediately, instead; an installer window

My VS2005 installtion is corrupted (missing lib errors, random shut
downs) yet I cannot fix it.
Tried
1) uninstall: error: cannot determine install order

I moved the My Documents folder to another drive on our reports
server.  After doing this I am now unable to save changes to the
datasets in the reports.  I am able to save the changes to the layout
of the report.

This week I installed the following, in order:
.NET framework 3.0
.NET framework 3.0 SP1

I have installed both VS2005 and VS2008 on the same machine. Some of the
controls (eg. button control) on the toolbox in VS2008 are still pointing to
the older version (2.0) instead of the latest version (3.0). How can I
change it so VS2008 toolbox is using the latest controls?

I've just installed VS 2008 and made first tests.
I had the following strange things happen:
- When I create a Windows Forms Application, VS 2008 put into references
assemblies from Framework 2.0 and not 3.5.

I downloaded VS 2008 Professional. Ran setup as administrator on Vista. The
installer loaded and offered the "Install Visual Studio 2008" option. Upon
running this, immediately the install fails with the message "Integration
Suite Tollkit executable has stopped working".
Virtual CDROM winXP tool failing to mount VS2008 Pro ISO image13 Dec 2007 05:07 GMT3
I've downloaded the iso image for VS2008 PRO, but whenever I try to mount it
as a virtual DVDROM drive using the Virtual CDROM Control Panel tool from
Microsoft, I get the "Mount Failed" error.  I've used the tool successfully
before.  Is there something about this .iso image ...

following dialog 'Please insert the disk: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Professional - ENU Disk 1'.  There is no option to browse, just OK and
