I am trying to install VS 2008 Professional RTM on a fresh install of Vista
Ultimate, and I was getting errors on the install of the .NET framework v3.5.
I installed the framework manually using the reditributed install and now I
keep erroring at the install for Document Explorer ...

I don' t see Team Explorer into VS2008, previously i have installed VS2005
and Team Exploer in the same machine.

I got problem installing VS2008. After narrowing down the issue, I found the
WCF is unable to be installed. Here's the detail in Event Log:

I have a C file with 35,000 lines that I'm trying to convert to C#.
Even after 'conversion' I have upward of 3,500 errors when I build.
It seems that the Output window lists the errors very quickly, but then
there is a long delay while these are all put in the Error List.

If I create (in Visual Studio 2008) new Silverlight Project i already get
error:
"Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common

I get the same error messages when I try to download vs2008 prof
1) Download gets to about 70% complete
2) Dialog box is displayed saying "There's a persistent network
connectitivity error preventing download completion..."

Hi, I tried to install the RTM version of VisualStudio on my up-to-date
Win2003 R2 machine
(en_visual_studio_team_system_2008_development_x86_x64wow_dvd_X14-26382).
.NET 3.5 and Document Explorer 2008 are installed.

Ok.  some other people in here are having the same problem.  Mine is
bombing on the .net 3.5 install.  See log for vs install (it's long
because I've tried a few times).  I've tried to install the .net 3.5

Im trying to install the MSDN final VS2008 ISO image and as soon as i try to
launch the SETUP i get an error saying that my OS is not supported, but im
using Vista Ultimate (Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6000]) ...
