During the installation of vs2005 I got the error messsage which is in following. Searching in newsgroups for "CA_SetPidProps" show that this error happens also some other users, but there was no suggestion to solve the problem.

The missing file is _15780_RTL_x86_enu_NETCF_v2.0.cab (This install is from an MSDN DVD disk.) Any idea where I can download the file from? Any help much appreciated

First off, this was one of the worst installation experiences I've ever had, and I've helped nine developers install this nightmare of a product. Maybe the product is ok, but the install is horrendous. I've got one install that went even more badly than the others...

My hard disk died and I had to reinstall everything. Visual Studio included. I used to have SSIS and SSAS project types (templates) available to me. Now I don't. I'm using vs 2005

Could you please make it so that VS installs itself fully on the D:-drive if i ask it to. Especially for VS2008 this is an issue as it uses a LOT of disk space on C: where i do not want it, as my C: drive space is a limited resource.

I just downloaded the VS 2008 Beta 2 IMG's. Has anybody tried to install VS 2005 side by side with SQL 2005 Developer edition, SQL Express, VS 2008 Professional, plus the respective 2008 Express Editions? What will be the caveats?

i got this error while trying to install Visual Studio 2005: Error 1311.Source file not found: R:\windows\programming\vc2005\vs\1. vsprod1\_2490_RTL_x86_enu_VS_PRO_MaintMode.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
