I tried to install Developer edition of Visual Studio.While it started installing (still on the first CD) it gave error 1311. Source file not found message. I retried no success, skipped it. This time I received Error 1305 - reading from file.

Here is my problem with VS 2005: I do Windows XP development. I search for MIB_IFROW in index (unfiltered) and it brings me article from "Platform Builder for Microsoft Windows CE 5.0", which is not what I want.

I have a strange problem. I have had VS 2005 and VB6 on my computer for over a year. About a month ago, there was a patch put out for VS 2005. Since I installed that, I am having issues when I try to use VB6.

I have VS2005 Standard Edition with BETA SP1 applied. When I try to install the official SP1, the installer after about 20 minutes complains that the item to be patched dows not exist on the computer.

There are some reported compatibility issues with VS 2005 on Vista. 1. VS 2005 must be run as Administrator with elevated permissions. 1a. Does "elevated" refer to permissions over and above Administrator or simply that Administrator is elevated relative to Normal User?
