I have been trying to install the recently released Vista SP1 for Visual Studio 2005 but I have had no success. Visual Studio 2005 and its SP1 have installed on my Vista x64 system running on a dual core AMD64 without any problems

I've installed VS 2005 under MS Vista. Once I have done that, exactly what else do I need to install to get VS 2005 to run 'well' in Vista? And in what order? I know that I need to install the VS 2005 SP1, but what else if anything?

For the life of me VS2005 will not install. The setup log files shows: [02/26/07,03:42:59] Microsoft Document Explorer 2005: [2] Error code -2147024703 for this component means "%1 is not a valid Win32 application.

I use and need MFC and unicode. After I changed from shared dll to static library a get a linker error: LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'uafxcwd.lib' I searched ...'Microsoft Visual Studio 8', found nothing.
