I can't seem to install this on Win XP SP2 system. It keeps getting locked on
htmllite.dll even though the file is on the installation CD (through MSDN).

I have been using Windows XP Pro and VS.Net 2003 for almost a year now
with no issues.  I have been creating BizTalk solutions, MFC and
Windows console solutions and so forth.

Installed VS 6 on xp pro x64.
After install, expanding the DCOM folder in dcomcnfg.exe generates an error
closing the MMC.
Event Log entires:

When I tried to install the program into my pc, I receive the following error
message:
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications."

As far as I know installation went fine. then a messagw pos up "Please
wait while wizard initializes ..."

This error message constantly pops up when using VB 2005.  I successfully uninstalled an older assembly key for a previous .NET beta version.  How can I get rid of this error??

I have been trying to install VS 2005 Standard (the current production
release). No matter what I do, I can't get it to install. It begins
installing the .NET Framework 2.0 and then zips right thru all the
remaining options (like in 15 seconds). Then it presents an error

I am trying to install VS 2005 and everytime it attempts to install the .NET
Framework 2.0 it locks up my machine.  I have tried to install the framework
alone (after downloading from the MS website) and it locks up my machine (I
need to power down to restart) at the same point ...

I am facing the same problem.
