I'm in the process of doing a clean rebuild of my laptop and I've got stuck
at reinstalling VS 2003. I have the upgrade disks from MSDN but these
require an existing installation of VS 2002 for a "Product Compliance Check"
or the insertion into the cd drive of the original VS 2002 ...

I just installed VS 2005 standard edition and converted one of my web sites
from VS 2003. It compiled ok but when I try run it shows the browser window
and an application error saying to set custom errors to OFF because there is
a problem. It's not seeing anything...and I can't ...

Hi guys, I installed last version of Visual Studio Professional 2005
complete of MSDN Library.
Before I had installed a VS 2005 RC version and it worked well.
Now I open MSDN program but when I try to use Search functionalities

I am trying to connect a CE.net 4.2 device to VS2005.  In VS 2003 you had to
download CE.net utilities for Framework 1.1.  Is there a 2.0 version?
Or is there a different method of connecting a CE device to VS2005?  I have
already installed and connected through ActiveSync 4.0.

After jumping through flaming hoops, I've managed to get Visual Studio 2005
Team Addition for Developers to install. But when I run it, I now get the
following errors:
Five times on startup:

Each time i start VS 2005 i receive an error message that says,
"The proper type library could not be found in the system registry."
The message goes on to explain that a fix was attempted but i need system
administrator privilege to update the registry.

Is there any known 'issue' or limitation with installing and running
Visual Studio 2005 Standard under Win XP Home? As opposed to XP Pro? I
know Home doesn't have IIS, but I thought that ASP under VS 2005 no
longer needed IIS (has its own built in web server) so I don't think
