Due to a disk failure recently, I lost the .iso for the most recent CTP
release of Dev Studio 2005.  I now want to install VS 2005 beta 2, but when
I try to deinstall the CTP release, it asks me for the original media, and
won't uninstall without it.

After installing VS 2005 Beta 2 I get the following error when trying to open
any item in a project (form, class, config etc):
Package 'Visual Studio Settings and Project Designers Package' has failed to
load properly (GUID=xxxxxxxx). Please contact package vendor for assistance.

I use VS.NET 2003 to create an MSI setup. The setup installs an application
and a data file called 'demo.dat'. However, the user might delete this file
'demo.dat' after some period of time. When the user restarts the application
Windows Installer detects the missing 'demo.dat' ...

Trying to remotely debug (Windows Server 2003) with Visual Studio .NET
2003 and get this error:
"Unable to start debugging on the web server. The RPC server is
unavailable"

I just ordered 2005 beta2. I'm trying to keep my workstation as lean as
possible so ideally, I'd like to install VS2005, SQL Server manager and BI
manager clients on my workstation and IIS and SQL Server 2005 on my server.
Is this possible? I'm trying to avoid having to build ...

In Short:
Installed prerequisites, went to step 2 when I get the notice Remote
components installed....
From there on I can't proceed the installation.

Is it safe to do an uninstall of VS2002 after installing VS2003 and running
them concurently for awhile?  I would like to free up some disk space and
none of my clients are using VS2002 any more.

I am trying to install Visual Basic .NET 2003 on a machine running XP Pro.
The install hangs about 2/3 of the way thru  "generating setup script...".  I
