When I try to install VS6, setup.exe gives an exception error 0xc0000005, and does not run. No other setup programs cause this, only VS6. Can Anyone lead me in the right direction?

I get message "Beta Period Expired" when trying to access the beta. Problems began after installing 3rd party controls from the resource kit that were meant for 2003. Have deinstalled, reinstalled, and downloaded frest copy.

I am using VS6, SP6. I have a desktop and laptop that I alone use. I'd like to upgrade to VS.NET, but don't want to buy two licenses for my two computers. I would never be using the .NET development environment on both simultaneously.
