I had installed Visual Studio 2003 and had been working with it. After installing Norton Antivirus 2005 i am not able to debug the program whereas Build and Execute are working fine. If I uninstall norton antivirus 2005 i am able to debug. Any known issues.

I've put my VS2003 Professional CDs on a single DVD, following some documents found on the Net. And each time I try to install this version I get a weird issue. The installation process always asks me for the CD. But that is really strange is

When I run the setup program for Visual Studio.NET and select the second item (Visual Studio .NET), why do I get a message box with the caption "Single Disk Branding Setup" and the text "Command line option syntax error. Type Command /? for Help."

Whenever I try to use the context sensitive help (press F1) or try to access HELP through the menu, I receive this error: "Attempting to use an invalid compiled help (.chm) file." Installed is VB6 with SP6.

I have a customer who is installing Visual Studio.NET 2002 and during the main setup the installation fails with the error message: Could not configure namespace for Application Center Test. The system tried to delete the substitution of a drive that is not substituted. (0x00000089)

I've been through the KB articles Q3060065, 325093, 812405, 816,782, 816783, and 817267. I've used the aspreg_iis.exe utility to uninstall, reinstall, list, etc. and I've used regsrv32 to register the .NET framework v1.1.4322 over and over

I've got a XP Pro with SP2 and I cannot install Visual Studio 6.0 on it; as soon as I click on Setup.exe I get a message saying: "Setup has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I've tried installing VB.Net 2003 standard on Win XP (with SR2). When I put in the prerequisite disk as requested, I get the installshield for hydravision (in spanish). I've removed hydravision, run norton to clean up the registry, run checkdisk to clean up any x-linked files ...

When one creates an MSI file using Visual Studio.NET installer, unless one specifically sets up the MSI file to write to the registry, does the installer write anything to the registry by default at all? If so I'd appreciate knowing what and where is written to the registry.
