I have a windows 2000 pro m/c with VC++ installed nicely, and have just
moved to a new XP pro machine.  I tried to reinstall VC++ (from a select
license disk) but get setup errors (vs60wiz crashes).
I have searched various places for a solution, but so far with no success.

state problem with install some components and finish installtion. Only can
click OK to close windows and quit setup.

I am trying to install VS Tools for Office. I installed VS.net, I then
installed Office.
When I run the setup I get the following error message:

I am trying to install vs.net on a stand alone machine which already has vb5
and vb6 installed (in case this may make a difference)
I have successfully installed the pre requisites, rebooted and have
repeatedly tried ot complete setup from disk 1.

Well, my VS 2003 has suddenly started spewing this error. I checked
Google and found a hint about removing some file called VCComponent.dat,
but it did not exist. I ran the Repair Program function twice. I then

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/security and then install IIS -- as
installation prerequisits.
When I install IIS, it asks for the XP SP 1 CD (or files). I've downloaded
