I've just recently got a problem with VS.NET hanging.
I'm using Windows XP Pro.
Sometimes it hangs on the splash screen. If it makes it through,

After installing VStudio on a XP Pro machine, I ran it and tryed to create a
new Web Application project.
After naming the web application and clicking the OK button, I always get

to specify web site in web setup project") that there is a Fix / Enhancement
to allow a web setup to install to a specified site - instead of a named
Vdir and port number.

I have installed VS.NET 2002 wich installed Framework 1.0. After that I ahve installed .Net Framework 1.1
Please can anybody answer my question: will VS.NET 2002 use v1.1 of Framework or should I uninstall 1.0 version of Framework

I have one VS.NET Professional and one VS.NET Enterprise version in my
office. As I know, Visual SourceSafe is bundled in Ent Version. My problem
is can I enable the VSS functions in both VS.NET in my office as both VS.NET
are pointing to only one VSS DB.

I created with STUDIO8 an MPG video file option DVD COMPATIBLE.
It is not readable on a DVD and neither on the PCs of my children.
How can I find out (tool, utility?) whivch codec I need for a MPG file ?
Does anybody has a tool or a utility for me ?

I have been trying for the last few days installing Web Parts Template
for VS.NET 2003 (as I wouldlike to create my own web parts for
Sharepoint) and after unzipping Microsoft's package and clicking

When I open VStudio .NET 2003 (ent) the source safe options are all greyed
out.
Source Safe was installed before VStudio.

I am having problems installing Visual Studio Installer 1.1. The installer fails to register VSIENG.DLL. Trying to register the DLL using regsvr32.exe produced the following error message:
