Can Vista disable the "Automatic restore point" but keep manual restore point? When I try to disable the "Automatic restore point", Vista always prompt to completely stop the "System restore".

I am trying to open an existing VB project that was sent to me from another site. I am using Visual Studio 5. When I try to open the project I get the message C:\Microsoft. visualbasic.targets not found. What does this mean and what can I do about it.

I'm using VB2005 and I'm studying the possibility to apply ClickOnce deployment instead of traditional *.msi. In a simple testing environment, I can make the deployment successfully. However, the real world is a little bit complicated.

Folks, I could really use some help--no responses to my earlier inquiry. VS2005 is taking a minute or more every time I start it, access Tools.Options, or shut it down. VS2008 works fine on the same Vista SP1 machine.

I have a problem with VS 2005. After a spyware scan or a virus scan (or any disk intensive activity), if I start VS 2005, I get the splash screen and then PC reboots. It's a bit irritating. On reboot, Windows reports a blue screen error and blames a "device error".
