I have used Crystal reports which comes with VS 2003 to generate a report (PDF documents) on a webserver. (The filename used is specific to a session so is unique for each browser). However at certain times (which I suspect is when the server is under heavy load at the end of the ...

Just tried to convert one of our web projects to 2.0. Made a copy of the project and worked off of that; the conversion 'wizard' mangled it! All of our codebehind (.cs) files are gone. I cannot run any pages, I get the error "Could not load type 'xxx.xxx.Global'. So even the ...

| VS 2005 questions | 03 Nov 2005 20:52 GMT | 30 |
Our clients are government agencies with several million users. They use Framework 1.1 and SQL Server 2000. That cannot be changed. Microsoft envisions an abrupt upgrade of 1.1 to 2.0, SQL Server 2000 to 2005, and VS 2003 to 2005 all in the same day. However, that is not possible ...

We are using VS.Net 2003. One of the issue we have now is that in our solution, we have about 500 projects (cutting the number down or separate into different solutions are not options). This makes managing the solution a big mess. I wonder if there is a way you can group the ...

| Upgrading from VS.Net beta 2 to release | 03 Nov 2005 07:40 GMT | 8 |
I am downloadiing the release of vs.net 2005. I need to know what I need to do to uninstall beta 2 before installing the new release. I know for beta 1 to beta 2 there was quite a lot of steps to take, instead of just "uninstalling".
