When re-installing VS.NET 2003 Academic, is it necessary to
uninstall the MSDN Library and re-install it, too?  That is, can
VS.NET be uninstalled and then re-installed while leaving the
MSDN Library in place?

In VS2003, I've got a .exe project which references a DLL written in a
separate project.  I have two instances of VS open and e.g. add a

So, I built my app (in C#) and created a distibution solution which I tested.
After I was happy, I modified the distribution solution to sign my app for me
