MSDN Library when re-installing VS.NET21 Oct 2005 19:07 GMT6
When re-installing VS.NET 2003 Academic, is it necessary to
uninstall the MSDN Library and re-install it, too?  That is, can
VS.NET be uninstalled and then re-installed while leaving the
MSDN Library in place?
How to refresh a Reference to pick up a new method21 Oct 2005 14:47 GMT1
In VS2003, I've got a .exe project which references a DLL written in a
separate project.  I have two instances of VS open and e.g. add a
public method to the DLL and rebuild.  It doesn't appear in the .exe
project unless I remove and re-add the reference.  Is there any way to
MsiInstaller errors in VS.NET 2003 generated setup for Crystal com21 Oct 2005 04:38 GMT1
I have an application developed with VB in VS.NET 2003 Enterprise Architect
that generates MsiInstaller errors for the Crystal Reports components in the
Event Log during about 75% of installations.
The following Event Log ID's are generated, and the components that fail are
.aps files21 Oct 2005 00:53 GMT2
What the heck are they?  I'm to decide if they should be excluded from
version control.
No mention of them in file types docs that I can find.
Academic edition of VS 2003 limited?20 Oct 2005 23:59 GMT2
Is the Academic edition of VS 2003 limited to one
installation?  After installing SP2 for my WinXP Pro,
VS 2003 gave a DLL initialization error.  After uninstalling
and re-installing VS, it still gives the error and the
Can VS2003 and VS2005 Peacfully Coexist20 Oct 2005 21:45 GMT3
I have just jumped on the VS2005 .NET Beta 2 band wagon. I am wondering if
the two products can peacefully coexist on the same machine if I physically
coexist VS2005 on another partition altogether?
"Installation User Interface Option"??????20 Oct 2005 19:30 GMT2
So, I built my app (in C#) and created a distibution solution which I tested.
After I was happy, I modified the distribution solution to sign my app for me
(using a key I bought from Verisign).
Now, when I try to install my signed app, I get this really strange error
Why does VS.NET 2003 rebuild my solution when I exit and return to the IDE?20 Oct 2005 17:28 GMT1
When I first load my solution in the IDE and hit run, VS.NET will always do
a full rebuild of the active project.  This only seems to occur when I exit
the IDE and then start the IDE back up again.
Why does VS.NET rebuild everytime I reload the solution.  This makes no
Set long term variable20 Oct 2005 09:54 GMT5
I need a user to enter a value into a form field and then when the user

Undo is not functioning, either with ctr+z or the menu item.  Format issues, too20 Oct 2005 07:05 GMT1
Visual Studio .NET 2003 -
I cannot implement undo in the source editor.  However, I can undo changes
to web forms, html pages, etc.  Also, at the same time that I lost the
ability to undo changes to my code, formatting and intellisense went hay-wire.
Error Opening Project:  'The certificate authority is invalid or incorrect'19 Oct 2005 20:17 GMT1
I know that the certificate for the SSL web is dated, but am not in a
position to do anything about that.
I have connected to this .NET project before.  Since then I have
uninstalled/reinstalled VS.NET and don't know what to tweak to get past this
