When I try to install my project on a client machine before removing a
previous installation, I get a message saying the previous installation must
be removed.  How do I get the installer just to overwrite the existing
files?

Is there a scheduled release date for VS.NET 2005 yet?
I have a small project to be delivered in early March. It will be ideal
launching pad for me to jump into ASP.NET 2.0. It is safe to use VS.NET 2005
beta to develop this project?

I've written an asp app that requires users to login - normal stuff.
As is typical with users, sometimes they just close the browser which
teminates the app. What I've done is created a new table in SQL that inserts
the date & time when a user logs in. All is well as other stuff.

I am trying to create an installation kit (using a deployment project in VS
.NET 2002), that contains .EXE files and .DLLs. The components are
developed in VS C++ 2002 and the .EXE files shall be registered at
