When I try to install my project on a client machine before removing a
previous installation, I get a message saying the previous installation must
be removed.  How do I get the installer just to overwrite the existing
files?

I've written an asp app that requires users to login - normal stuff.
As is typical with users, sometimes they just close the browser which
teminates the app. What I've done is created a new table in SQL that inserts
the date & time when a user logs in. All is well as other stuff.

I am trying to create an installation kit (using a deployment project in VS
.NET 2002), that contains .EXE files and .DLLs. The components are
developed in VS C++ 2002 and the .EXE files shall be registered at
installation time. But when I build my solution I get an error for one

"Visual Studio encountered errors when attempting to download the required
files. Check your web vrowser configuration settings and your connection
