I've placed in my bin\debug folder two files:
appname.exe.config and appname.exe.manifest
When I run my program in Visual Studio 2003 (F5) than the
manifest files is still in the bin\debug directory, but

Not to be rude or anything, but a loooong time ago, Microsoft said that it
would release a service pack for vs.net 2002 shortly after the release of
vs.net 2003.
We're almost august 2003, vs.net 2003 was released last april.

I have a solution with 9 projects. Often when I try to
compile I get loads of errors that is no errors. It can

I too have some concerns about the problem of framework version
compatibility in the future - as has been expressed in many other posts.
1. Lack of guarantee that versions of programs compiled against earlier
