I am running Windows XP Home Edition.  I've been trying to install a new game
(Command and Conquer - The First Decade) on my computer using a PCDVD disk.
When I place the disk in a DVD drive (I have 2) and Autorun kicks in, I get
an error message: I:/Not a valid Win32 Application ...

We've got Windows 2000 on a laptop and suddenly some of the desktop icons
don't work. They are all visible, but when you click on some of them (for
example, Internet Explorer or the recycling bin) the screen refreshes and
then goes back to the way it was without launching any of ...

when i run xp repair from boot, i do not get the screen for repair. it gose
from agree stright to partitions. how di i get it to goto the repair screen?

Retirement of J# language and Java Language Conversion Assistant from future
versions of Visual Studio
Since customers have told us that the existing J# feature set largely meets
their needs and usage of J# is declining, Microsoft is retiring the Visual

I would like to create a Java app which is independant of the .NET framework
(ie: will work with just the Java runtime environment).
My question is: can I use my Visual Studio 2005 to undertake this project,
or do I have to obtain a separate IDE from... say, Sun or somewhere like ...

I can listen to my Media Player, but my MSN alerts aren't sounding (the ones
that notify you someone is talking to you etc). I've gone into tools and
preferences and made sure that I've allowed the alrets, but they still won't
work:(

I don't have a cookie folder, yet programs tell me I have plenty.
Will someone please tell me to find out where my cookies are going?
