I have a group of people at work (Marketing) who have asked 'Why does it
take so long to develop a 'simple' web site when we can just go on-line and
use a tool to create one?'
I point out that the one's on-line can't add the extra functionality that a

I have developed web services, myWebService by .NET Visual Studio, with web
methods getInfo and getInfo(int) (under .net framework 1.1). It works fine
for the clients created by .NET visual studio.

I know what is postback the whole page is submitted to the server for
processing. We can use Page.IsPostBack (vb.net) in order to check whether
the page is postbacked or whether its loaded the first time.
Now, when using client callback, there is only a part of the page postbacked ...

I currently am using webhost4life.com for my asp.net websites.  But, for
some reason my website is totally down and I can't get someone to talk too.
I've been on hold for 2 hours (disconnected 4 times).  Any ideas?

I was MCAD back in 2003 under asp.net,sql2000 and XML.  Even if

I am using the following code to stream a server generated pdf file to a
client.  Acrobat 7 opens the file as expected but Acrobat 5,6 and 8 launch
in memory but never open.  I ran the command with Fiddler running and it
tells me there is a content-length mismatch of 129 bytes ...

I am relatively good with ASP.net, been making lots of websites and logins
etc etc for a while now but always using Access as a data source.
Time has come to move up to SQL Server mainly because my new venture is
massive and many people will be updating data at the same time.
