I using a new laptop running Vista and have Nvidia GeForce 7600 graphics
card.  I'm trying to connect my TV to this computer using Svideo.  It has
worked in the past however I must have changed a setting somewhere?  On my
second computer with Xp it all connects right!

So it's all connected but the display on the TV is just rolling lines as
though it is scrambled.  On the monitor setting, the refresh rate is stuck on
25Hertz Interlaced.

Is there a way of forcing a higher refresh rate?  or is there another
setting I need to change?

I have been seraching for months for an answer to this question.  HELP PLEASE!

Try posting to a newsgroup that only has "Windows" in the description. This
is a .Net programming newsgroup for help with Windows Forms. If you're using
Vista or XP, look for a newsgroup with one of those names in the
description.

Good luck.

Hi brett,
tell me how are you setting up the TV screen, via the windows display
windows, or through the GeForce control panel, i had a similiar problem the
first time i set up a tv as a second monitor, you need to set up your TV
with the correct PAL\NTSC\SECAM settings, the GeForce control panel helps
you detect your tv, if it doesn't detect it you'll simply need to add a new
television config using the region\signal settings for the TV, this should
fix your problem.

BTW is there any change in the lines on the monitor when unplugged, or just
static, if the lines only appear when its connected to the PC then your
problem is almost definately the tv region setup and it'll take you about 2
minutes to fix it.

Good luck
