Hello, I have a problem using tooltips on buttons...

Before the first click on the button the tooltip displays correctly,
but once the button has been clicked, the tooltip isn't shown any
more...

Is this a bug? Or normal behavior ?

Regards,
Kevin

I believe this behavior is by design.

it's by design that if you click a button once, every other times you hover
the button, the tooltip doesn't show anymore until the form is unloaded and
loaded back?  I think that's what the original poster meant...

I didn't try the scenario myself, so I can't say if it does the same here or
not. But if it's really that way, I would see it as a bug...  and if it's by
design, I'd say, change the design because it's flawed...

I hope it helps

I would consider this a bug, but the behavior is similar in Outlook Express.
After clicking the "Insert" toolbar button, the tooltip doesn't reappear if
the user does not move the mouse over /another/ toolbar button.

You are absolutely right for Outlook Express...  weird I've never seen that
before...  But do you agree with me that it's counter-intuitive? But it
could effectively be by design... Why the choice has been made this way, who
knows....

Yes, I agree with you that the behavior /you/ describe is counter-intuitive.
