Hi.
Can anyone please tell me - what's the most common way to refer to
Windows Forms?
It's for proposals for customers, where we say that most of the end
users have a browser-based thin client and others use applications we
(ISV) develop - WinForms.
TIA

The SDK uses "Windows Forms" (you'll see the "WinForms" nickname in
newsgroups likely for convenience, I never saw "WindowsForms") :

When talking to non-developers, such as in a proposal, I would use the most
non-technical term: "Windows Forms" or even "Desktop Application."

I just flew in from Chicago with
a man with a wooden leg named Smith
who shot an elephant in my pajamas.
So I bit him.

Maybe "rich-client".

I believe they are called Smart Clients or Fat Clients by the
Tech community. Fat Clients just sit on the desktop (mine
always use a backend database). I think Smart Clients
are Fat Clients that also interact with the internet or
web services or something like that.
For my clients, who are not technically-oriented, I always
refer to them as "Desktop Applications". They seem to
understand that.
Good luck.
