Show Desktop causes applications to minimize on startup

I have a strange bug that only manifests itself under these conditions:

1. Click the Show Desktop button on the Quick Launch bar.
2. Launch the application by double-clicking its icon on the desktop.
3. The application will start but immediately becomes minimized.

Now, this does not happen if you launch the application from the the
Quick Launch bar or the Start menu.  Apparently it affects many other
applications other than the one I am trying to fix.  For my
application, the shortcut indicates to start in a "Normal window", and
I also set the WindowState = FormWindowState.Normal during Load.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Angela,

I cannot reproduce your problem on my machine. Have you tried to repro on
other computer?

Stoitcho,

I have only tried this on the laptops at my company which are all IBM
Thinkpads.  All have Windows XP SP2.  I will take the program home and
try it there.  I also looked for widely available programs that exhibit
this behavior and haven't found one yet.  All the programs that have
this problem come from smaller companies that write their own
application software (I suppose like mine!).

I will continue to investigate when and where this happens.

Thanks,
Angela.
