How I can add auto online update feature to my windows application which
basically is a smart client. I already had a web service which will tell the
latest version and download URL. Now how can I make my application to do
that? I am using .NET 1.1 C#.

Hi Angelina,

Consider using the Updater Application Block from Microsoft Patterns and
Practices team:

Version 2.0 of the UAP targets .NET 1.1.

Hi Dmytro,

Thanx for reply. Could you tell me that is this tool can be used for free
for distributing my application?

Hi

It's not a tool as such, it's an 'application block' i.e. something
that you can incorporate into your app (much like any of the other
blocks etc offered through MS Patterns and Practices web site) so, in
short - yes you can use it in your code.
