I am using a .NET windows forms application, and the language is Visual Basics.
another coleague has created the code, so i dont know the details of that
aspect, but when I go to open the program, most of the window is black.  A few
of the data fields show up, and a few drop down menus, but everything else is
black.  This application runs fine on other computers, it only seems to have
this issue on my computer.  I run winxp pro on my computer, win firewall is
off.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running McAfee Antivirus perhaps?
There's a bug in some versions of that product that causes text to be
missing from listboxes, comboboxes etc (never heard of anyone getting black
behaviour though).
