What is the official (ms) way to embed word/excel into a winform application
so that the document is editable with word toolbars displayed?

ActiveDocumentHost has been droped from 2.0 (not in VS2.0 beta 2)

Is it true that MS can't devise a way for word/excel to be used in a .net
app - unbelievable!

Cheers

You've read my mind. This is the only practical way to do things, for many
reasons.

If MS is going to make Office a true development platform, as they claim
they are,  this needs to be solved.

This thread began a month ago. Will someone in the know PLEASE shed some
light on this?

Well, can't office be hosted in .Net? I need a .Net app with
diagraming, and I thought I could delegate that to Visio.

I believe the only way to do that is with the Visio control.

If there's something I'm missing, I'd love to know.
