I am looking for a grid control that also supports excell like calculaions
functionality. I have looked at the Infragistics grid/calc engine and it
lacks support for defining calculations on a range of cells/rows.

Does anyone know of a grid that meets the requirements we have?

I've been using Syncfusion's grid controls for quite some time. It's a huge
grid with an enormous amount of functionality and you can sometimes get lost
in it. But that said, if you can't do it with Syncfusion's grid, it probably
can't be done.

I know they have pretty extensive formula cell stuff, but I've never
actually used it, so I don't know the specifics. You can download an eval
version of the control from their web site, though. There are lots of
samples.

Hi Ron,

If you're still interested, we offer Spread for Windows Forms (.NET)
and Spread for Web Forms (ASP.NET).  These are both spreadsheet
components that fully emulate Excel behaviour, as well as many other
features.  They both import and export Excel files in its native BIFF8
format and includes a calc engine that has 300 built-in functions and
allows you to define functions for any range of cells/rows/columns.
You can also create your own user-defined functions.  Here's the link
for more info and to download a 30-day trial:

Spread for Web Forms

Or please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks Ron
and good luck.
