Bug in TypeResolutionService (KB 912019)

Hi,

windows forms designer sometimes does not found the type of the root
component (e.g. the base class of the designed class) if this is located in
another assembly. This problem seems to be located in the standard
ITypeResolutionService, which seems to be
Microsoft.VisualStudio.Design.Serialization.CodeDom.AggregateTypeResolution.

Is there a workaround, e.g. can someone tell me how to exchange the
ITypeResolutionService and fix the bug or is there an event to catch where I
can resolve the type at designtime?

The problem seems to be known as Knowledge Base Article 912019 and there is
a hotfix (Microsoft.visualstudio.design.dll), but this is only for the
English version.

Many thanks for any hint,
Bernd
