Hi Andrey,
Yes, when we implement IExtenderProvider in a class, we must define a set
of properties that the extender can provide to other components. The
properties are really methods because they take an extra parameter that
specifies the component to apply the property to.
If you want to associate a custom type editor to the properties that are
provided to other components, just associate the EditorAttribute to the
GetPropertyName method. In your scenario, it is GetImagePosition method.
The following is a sample.
[Editor(typeof(MyCustomTypeEditor))]
public object GetImagePosition()
{
.....
}
Thus, select a component which has the extender properties on the form at
design time, and you will see your custom type editor is available in the
extender properties nodes in the Properties Explorer.
Hope this helps.
If you have anything unclear, please feel free to let me know.
Sincerely,
Linda Liu

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
