what's the different between getting a copy of VS.Net from store and from MSDN subscription?

is that if i subscrible MSDN, i can only use it for 1 year?!

No, you can still use the stuff you get from the subscription after the
year. However, you only get updates for one year unless you continue the
subscription. The big benefit of MSDN subscriptions (besides all the
software you get) is that you automatically get upgrades to the new versions
that ship during that year, as well as immediate access to betas.

that's interesting..
a VS.Net 2003 pro sold for 1079 US
while MSDN Professional subscription sold for 1199 only
so, is that i can still use the Windows xp pro that comes with MSDN
after my msdn subscription expire after 1 year?

I believe the operting systems, servers, and a few other things are only
"development" licenses (which means they're for testing purposes). This
means that you're not supposed to use the XP license you get from an MSDN
subscription as the OS on your primary machine, but can use it for machines
to test that apps work properly on XP.
