Having trouble getting into gmail, with newly installed Norton 360 on a Vista
operated computer. Is there a connection between these three programs?
Google allows me to get to the login page, but once user name and password
are entered, it either reports "error" at the bottom left of the page, or
presents a blank page. This happens with both Internet Explorere and Mozilla
Firefox.
Any solutions to this?

Norton is the problem. It's notorious for causing email issues.
1. Disable all Norton email monitoring features. If that does not help,
2. Remove Norton in its entirety and find less intrusive tools to prevent
viruses and malware.
